Relationship Difficulties

Maintaining meaningful relationships is crucial to our well-being but relationships can break down because of poor communication.

Concerns about finance, employment, health or family problems affect relationships for both individuals and couples; such pressures mean that it is easy to lose sight of personal priorities.

Couples counselling can help to explore new ways of interacting rather than replaying destructive elements which adversely affect relationships; it provides the arena and framework for honest conversations and a positive way forward.

It may be that our listening skills could be more effective. We may need to learn new ways to demonstrate our care and concern for those we love; we may need to overcome guilt and anger or we may need to refocus our values and priorities. Counselling can be helpful in identifying such issues.

I've worked with clients who have found their problems have been eased by our sessions and they have learnt to manage their difficult issues more effectively.
